Opening a store takes a few minutes. You need an e-mail address, a mobile phone, and an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) for two-step verification.
1. Sign up
- Choose Start free on the home page. It takes you to the sign-up page of the Grind Shop admin.
- Enter your name, your e-mail address and a password of at least 10 characters.
- Choose Create account.
2. Turn on two-step verification
Store owners and admins must use two-step verification. It protects your store if your password is ever stolen.
- Enter your password again and choose Set up authenticator app.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. If you cannot scan it, type the key shown under the code into the app instead.
- Save your backup codes. They are shown only once. Each code lets you sign in one time if you lose your phone.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app to finish.
3. Create your store
- Enter your store name, for example the name of your shop or brand.
- Choose your store address. This is the first part of your web address: if you choose
myshop, your store is atmyshop.grindshops.com. Use 3 to 40 lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens. Some names are reserved, and names that look like well-known brands are not allowed. You cannot change the address later. - Choose your state and enter your 10-digit mobile number.
- Choose Create store.
You land on the home page of your admin. Your store already has its own address, but it has no products yet.
