A product is what you sell. Add a few to start with. You can change them at any time.
Before you start
Have a photo of the product, its price and the number of items you have ready. If you charge GST, also have the HSN code and the GST rate of the product.
1. Open the product form
Open Products in the menu of your admin and choose to add a new product.
2. Describe it
- Title and description. Say what it is, what it is made of, its size and how to use or look after it. Customers cannot touch the product, so your words and photos do the selling.
- Photos. Add clear photos taken in good light.
- Price. Enter the price in rupees.
- Stock. Enter how many you have. Grind Shop lowers the number with every order, and the last item is never sold twice.
3. Add options if it comes in different versions
If customers can choose, for example, a size or a colour, add up to three options. Grind Shop makes a variant for every combination, and each variant has its own price and stock.
4. Add the GST details
Enter the HSN code and the GST rate of the product. Checkout uses them to work out GST. It shows CGST and SGST for deliveries in your state and IGST for deliveries to other states. If you are not sure which code or rate applies, ask your accountant: we cannot give tax advice.
5. Save it and look at your store
Save the product. If the product has a status, make sure it is set to active so that customers can see it. Then open your store to check the product page.
